ForageSF was started by Iso Rabins in the fall of 2008. As “not only for profit” business, its purpose was originally supporting local foragers so that foraging could become a viable full time profession.
Since our start we’ve stuck to the mission of supporting the local food community through multiple projects: the Underground Market, the Wild Kitchen, and our new project, Forage Kitchen, the first co-working space for food. We mean to grow the local food economy by creating a community of support for small food businesses and creating jobs with respect that also help to push the food movement forward.
