In each hands-on class, you’ll learn how to gather and turn seasonal plants into delicious recipes, discovering their unique flavors and benefits.
December: Falltime Wild Magical Fruit
As fall settles in, late-ripening wild fruits like hawthorn, elderberries, and rose hips offer rich flavors and nutrients. You will learn how to turn these fruits into ice cream, syrups, candies, and more. Discover new tastes and appreciate the vibrant reds and purples of the season.
January: Nuts of Winter
In winter’s chill, we’ll gather acorns and bay nuts to transform into flour and cozy treats. Alexandra will guide you in making bay nut truffles, acorn flour cookies, and other nourishing recipes, perfect for winter.
February: Wintertime Wild Greens
Winter rains bring a bounty of fresh wild greens—miner’s lettuce, chickweed, and more. Learn to gather and cook these greens into dishes like wild spanakopita and avgolemono soup. Come ready to enjoy the season’s bright flavors!
